Agreement will help remove North End home from Filthy 15

City Council members voted Oct. 11 to approve a development agreement and quit claim deed with Robert and Debra Meyerson – the couple who made the highest bid on a house at 3220 N. 27th St. for $222,700. If approved, the agreement would lead to the renovation of the home and its removal from the City’s Filthy 15 Web site (http://www.cityoftacoma.org/filthy15) that denotes the 15 most dangerous or blighted properties in Tacoma. This will be the second property that the City has successfully purchased and then sold for blight abatement purposes. The first such property is the Marcourt Building, now known as the Bridge Condominiums.
