The Tacoma Arts Commission is seeking South Puget Sound artists to participate in Art at Work months Art Slam.
All Art Slam submissions will be projected on the big screen at the Rialto Theater, 310 S. 9th St., from 7 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 16. The event will be followed by a reception in the lobby of the Rialto. The public is invited to attend this free event.
“This is a great opportunity to see a sampling of the creative work being produced in the area,” said Naomi Strom-Avila, City of Tacoma cultural arts specialist. “This format also allows artists working in all mediums to showcase their talents in a supportive, yet relaxed, atmosphere.”
Artists are asked to submit up to 10 images or one two-minute performing arts piece on DVD. Deadline for submissions is Oct. 29.
