The Tacoma City Council is scheduled to hear the final reading of an ordinance March 10 that would continue the downtown Business Improvement Area (BIA) for the 22nd year and would provide for the levy of assessments to businesses within the area and other income in the amount of $842,300. The resolution would also approve the BIA work plan, budget and assessment of rates from May 1 through April 30, 2010.
