City Council members are scheduled May 8 to receive an update from the Public Works, Science and Engineering Division staff on the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade and expansion project. The update will include information about the project’s Minority and Women owned Business Enterprise participation, the Small Business in Rural Areas Apprenticeship and City Residents programs. City staff will also discuss the historic energy management practices and the new components that are being implemented as part of the upgrade and expansion project. The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, Room 16.
