The City of Tacoma’s Community Based Services (CBS) program is expanding into another South Tacoma neighborhood and will host an official kickoff and priority setting meeting at 5:45 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 30, at Tacoma Public Utilities, 3628 S. 35th St.

The new expansion area includes all neighborhood groups, organizations and individuals between State Route 16 to the north, Interstate 5 to the east, South Orchard and South to 48th Street to the west, and South Tacoma Way and 50th Street.

As part of the expansion, City staff host a kickoff meeting for residents to help set priorities for the area. If you live or work in the new CBS area, you are encouraged to attend to learn more about the program, City services and to offer feedback.
