The Tacoma Arts Commission and the Tacoma Police Department are seeking artists from Pierce County to create four different signature artworks for four newly constructed police substations in the city.

Artwork will be visible, durable and sited on the exterior of each building. Each commission is $9,000. Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Feb. 15.

Artists will be selected through a competitive process that includes arts commissioners, police officers and citizen representatives.
