Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches opened its doors this week on the University of Washington Tacoma campus. Located in the historic Russell T. Joy Building at 1708 Pacific Ave., Jimmy John’s was founded in 1983 in the university town of Champaign, Ill., and now has 1,600 locations in 40 states. It joins other recently-opened merchants in the Pacific Avenue frontage of the University of Washington Tacoma, including Than Brothers Pho, Granola’s Frozen Yogurt, Savor Tacoma Creperie, and Tinkertopia.
