The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee will hold open auditions for the January 14, 2008 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration event at the Beacon Senior Center (415 South 13th Street) this summer. Auditions are open to all ages and ethnic groups. The celebration committee is seeking talent in the following areas: vocalists, dancers, recitals, groups, spoken word, dramatic interpretation and instrumentals. All performers and performances must follow the theme Women of the Movement Give Them a Standing Ovation. Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on July 14, August 18, and September 22, 2007.
