Port of Tacoma Commission to consider infrastructure improvement projects, air quality study

The Port of Tacoma Commission is scheduled this week to consider authorizing a contract to develop a long-range land use and transportation plan that aims to build on the Port’s strategic plan by providing the necessary information, policies and recommendations to support capital improvements, attract private investment, and encourage economic growth.

Commissioners are also expected to consider requests related to an emergency repair at a Port terminal and cleanup work at a Port site. A study session on the 2011 Puget Sound Maritime Air Emissions Inventory follows the action agenda.

The commission will discuss these issues during its meeting on Thurs., Nov. 1, at 12 p.m. in Room 104 of The Fabulich Center, 3600 Port of Tacoma Road. A copy of the agenda is available online here. Meetings are available live and on demand here.
