Sound Transit has scheduled two meetings Wednesday to discuss the future of Tacoma’s Link light rail.
Over the next year, Sound Transit will analyze alternatives for expanding the current 1.6-mile light rail line in Tacoma. Visitors to one of the two meetings scheduled this week can learn about the project background, goals and decision milestones; find out about public involvement opportunities; let Sound Transit know where Tacoma Link should expand in the future; provide input on the criteria that should be used to evaluate the options; and learn how to stay informed about the Tacoma Link expansion project.
The first meeting will be held on Weds., Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at People’s Community Center, located at 1602 South Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The second meeting will be held on Weds., Aug. 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Tacoma Dome Station Plaza, located at 424 East 25th Street.
