Tacoma City Council and the Tacoma Public Utility Board are scheduled to meet Tuesday to discuss rates for Tacoma Power and Tacoma Water customers.
Additionally, City of Tacoma Environmental Services Department staff will share information related to the general government utility rate planning.
Finally, city staff will present information on two proposed agreements involving the City of Tacoma and BNSF Railway Company. The first set of agreements relates to granting road access across Tacoma Water property to connect to BNSF property in south Tacoma. The second set of agreements relate to the donation of the Prairie Line to the City of Tacoma, from approximately South 26th to South 15th Streets, excluding those sections owned by the University of Washington Tacoma.
Councilmembers will not take public comment during the study session, which will be held on Tues., Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. in Room 16 of Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St. Audio from the meeting will be broadcast live on TV Tacoma and online at tvtacoma.com.
