The City of Tacoma’s next Monday Mixer networking event will focus on the cultivation and retention of technology-related businesses.
“The number of technology startups in Tacoma is starting to grow,” said Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland. “Our colleges and universities are uniquely aligned with the business sector and innovative entrepreneurs. This upcoming Monday Mixer is an opportunity to meet with experts, investors and help local tech companies succeed.”
The Monday Mixer will be held on Mon., Sept. 21, at Harmon Tap Room’s back room, located at 204 St. Helens Ave., between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The event will include technology experts from higher education, well established companies, and new businesses to answer questions about what it takes to attract and nurture talent, create development and funding opportunities, and thrive in Tacoma.
Monday Mixers are free to attend and open to all. Key staff from the City of Tacoma’s Community & Economic Development Department will be at the event along with various community leaders. More information is available online at tacomameansbusiness.com.
