Seven “Spotlight! On Business” award recipients, including the newly added category “Business Supporter of Military,” were announced at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber’s awards luncheon today.

The awards recognize the accomplishments and civic contributions that Chamber member businesses make to the community. The judging committee, made up of volunteers, based their choices by following five criteria: staying power, growth in employees, evidence of contributions to community-oriented projects, innovativeness of product or service and response to adversity.

The 2011 “Spotlight! On Business” award recipients are Joeseppi’s Italian Ristorante (Small Business / 1 – 25 employees); SiteCrafting (Medium Business / 26 – 50 employees); Tacoma Screw Products (Large Business / 51+ employees); CenterForce (Non-Profit Organization); Celebrity Cake Studio (Minority-Owned Business); Home Makeovers Made Simple (Veteran-Owned Business); and America’s Credit Union (Business Supporter of Military).
