For the fifth year running, the Port of Tacoma has been named an Inbound Logistics magazine Green Supply Chain Partner for its sustainability efforts.
One of seven ports selected, the Port of Tacoma was recognized for its efforts to reduce seaport-related air emissions through the Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy, clean up legacy contamination to put more than 420 acres back into productive use, and find innovative solutions to manage stormwater runoff.
The trade magazine honored 75 organizations from various trade sectors, including ports, truckers, railroads, shipping lines, freight forwarders and air cargo carriers. The complete list of honored partners is featured in the magazine’s June issue online at inboundlogistics.com.
