The City of Tacoma, Pierce Transit, Transportation Choices Coalition, Tacoma Wheelmens Bicycle Club, and the Downtown: On the Go! Program will hold a Transportation Fair at the Tollefson Plaza Summer Lunch Series on Fri., Sept. 25. The event will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Tollefson Plaza, located at Pacific Ave. and S. 17th St.
The partnering Transportation Fair participants will offer Downtown Tacoma commuters and employers with information on transit and bicycle commute options, the Pierce Transit redesign public process, the ORCA roll-out, the City’s Mobility Master Plan public process, and more. Transportation Fair visitors will have access to commute information, giveaways and prizes, and of course, may listen to the sounds of local musicians, watch chalk art in action, and enjoy food purchased from local vendors at the Summer Lunch Series.

The Downtown: On the Go! Program is an active partnership between the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber, the City of Tacoma, and Pierce Transit. Leveraging their resources and relationships, these organizations work together with employers and commuters to promote alternate commuting options. Together they aim to keep Downtown moving efficiently, growing in economic vitality, and improving in air quality.
