Serial killer Davey Butorac will learn if he is eligible for parole at a hearing on Dec. 17 in New Westminster Supreme Court.
The Aldergrove man was in court last Thursday to fix a date for the parole hearing.
Two weeks ago, a jury found Butorac guilty on two counts of second degree murder. The conviction gives him an automatic life sentence.
Eleven out of the 12 jurors felt he should not be eligible for parole. A judge will decide that.
Butorac killed Gwendolyn Lawton, 46, a sex trade worker living in Abbotsford in 2007. A few months later, he murdered Langley City sex trade worker Sheryl Lynn Korroll.
He will soon appear again in Surrey, as he is charged with the murder of Margaret Redford who lived in his home town of Aldergrove. Her body was found face down in Bertrand Creek in May 2006. It took three years for him to be charged with that crime.
