Mark your calendars on Oct. 6 for HarvestFEST, your chance to tour local farms and “embrace the lifestyle of local food.” Tours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are self-guided. Admission is free. Start anywhere and visit as many locations as you like throughout Pierce County.

This year’s tours feature a giant pumpkin weigh off, music, oyster tasting, farm animals, face painting, corn mazes, antique tractor display, spinning demonstrations and wine tasting. And don’t forget to visit the pumpkin patches and buy fresh, local produce.
