Local businesses or organizations can help change the world May 17 at the Livable Communities Fair at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall.
There’s still time to sign up as an exhibitor and show over 10,000 people how your products or services can make a difference. Spaces go fast, so reserve a spot today, or contribute financially to the fair as a sponsor. Sign up on-line livablepiercecounty.org or call (253) 798-7477 for a “Count Us In” form.
The fair will feature workshops, speakers and more than 200 exhibitors who contribute to making our communities a better place to live, work and play. “We welcome any livable or sustainable idea that benefits neighborhoods and communities,” said Fair Manager Diane Braaten. “We are committed to making this the biggest and best we’ve had — building on our successes of three earlier biennial fairs.” This year’s fair is co-hosted by Pierce County and the City of Tacoma.
Participants will have an opportunity to educate the public on recycling, low impact development, affordable housing, roads and transit, emergency preparedness, public safety, energy savings, home improvement, and many environmental issues.
