The City of Tacoma’s Planning Commission has one opening for residents in Council District No. 2 (northend, downtown and northeast). The prospective appointee will be expected to serve through the rest of the three-year term which ends Dec. 31, 2009. The Planning Commission advises the City Council on issues related to the Citys Comprehensive Plan, neighborhood planning, land use and development regulations, transportation, capital facilities and other long- and short-range planning studies. The Planning Commission meets at 4 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the Council Chambers, first floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St. Applications must be submitted to the Mayor’s Office by Friday, April 18.
