The City of Tacoma and Pacific Plaza Development, LLC invite artists and/or artist teams from the states of Washington and Oregon, and from British Columbia to submit qualifications for a $179,000 commission at Pacific Plaza, the new incarnation of Park Plaza South. The application deadline is Nov. 17.

Pacific Plaza is the transformation of a city parking structure into a multi-use, urban complex including Class ‘A’ commercial office space and retail, in addition to improved and increased parking. The developers are striving for a minimum Silver LEED certification, meaning that environmentally sensitive practices are being utilized throughout the facility, including a green roof. The artwork is funded through one percent of the construction costs.
