Applications are being accepted to fill a vacant at-large position for an archivist on the Pierce County Landmarks and Historic Preservation Commission. Appointments are made by the county executive with Council confirmation. The deadline for applying is Dec. 22.
The 11-member commission makes recommendations to the county executive and Council on historic preservation-related matters. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the County Annex, 2401 S. 35th St. The commission is comprised of seven council district representatives and four at-large members. Terms are three years.
Individuals who reside in Pierce County and are practicing professionals in the fields of archival science, information technology, library science or history with knowledge and interest in historic documents are encouraged to apply.
