Sound Transit announced today that Tacoma Link will run special train service for the city’s annual First Night celebration on Weds., Dec. 31.
Normal weekday service will run between 5:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, and special two-train service will run from 8:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. Jan. 1. More information about Tacoma Links special New Years Eve service is available at http://www.soundtransit.org/x7004.xml .
First Night is a family-friendly New Years Eve celebration sponsored in part by the City of Tacoma and Pierce County. A parade, street performances, special theater performances, and free admission to several museums are included in the program of events happening in the neighborhoods all along the Tacoma Link rail line.
