Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2003-50, amending Section 3.12.030 of the Pierce County Code, “Ethical Standards and Prohibited Practices Enumerated” by increasing the amount of permitted monetary contributions from county personnel from $50 to $100 per calender year per candidate for elected county office.

Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2003-70, authorizing the County Executive to execute an altered version of the first amended interlocal agreement between Pierce County and the cities of Fife, Lakewood, Tacoma, and University Place, regarding the formation and operation of a public facilities district for the purpose of constructing and operating a regional convention center.

Message from the Executive
A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinance, which was approved and signed on April2 22, 2003:
Ordinance No. 2002-128, amending Pierce County Code Section 10.36.010 “Limits Established”; deleting references to the ferry “Islander” which the county no longer owns; and restricting the maximum vehicle length to 38 feet and maximum load limit to 67,500 pounds on the Pierce County ferry “M/V Steilacoom.”

Proposal No. 2003-39, ratifying the collective bargaining agreement reached with United Healthcare Workers, Local 1184, System Council No. 15, National Conference of Firemen and Oilers Service Employees International Union – General Unit; and amending the Pierce County Salary Classification Plan.

Proposal No. 2003-27, authorizing the approval of the open space classification under current use agreement on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 16 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS7-02, Fred A. Miller – Eatonville area)

Proposal No. 2003-28, authorizing the approval of the open space classification under current use agreement on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 20 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS10-02, David and Stephanie Drew – Puyallup area)

Proposal No. 2003-29, authorizing the approval of the open space classification under current use agreement on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southwest Quarter of Section 11, Township 19 North, Range 6 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS5-02, David and Tamara Brown – Buckley area)
