The Port of Tacoma and Occidental Chemical Company would like to combine contaminated sediments from the Lower Duwamish Waterway Superfund Site and the Commencement Bay Nearshore/Tideflats Superfund Site in the Blair Slip 1 disposal facility in Commencement Bay.

The Port of Tacoma and Occidental have the technical and regulatory requirements for this action and have asked the Environmental Protection Agency for approval.
