Tacoma City Council to discuss biennial budget, legislative priorities

Tacoma City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday at City Hall to discuss the proposed 2013-2014 biennial budget. Earlier this year, Tacoma City Manager T. C. Broadnax presented a budget proposal that called for a variety of measures in order to close a projected to be a $63 million general fund shortfall over the next two years.

In addition, City of Tacoma Government Relations Officer Randy Lewis will share the draft version of the 2013 state and federal legislative priorities with councilmembers during the meeting.

Councilmembers will not take public comment during this week’s study session, which will be held on Tues., Nov. 27 at 12 p.m. in Room 16 of Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St. Audio from the meeting will be broadcast live on TV Tacoma and online at tvtacoma.com.
