Tacoma Fire Department conducts training near I-5

Drivers traveling along Interstate 5 through Fife today may notice fire and smoke pouring out of a roadside building. According to Tacoma Fire Department and Washington State Patrol officials, a vacant building located at 1623 62nd Avenue East is being used as part of Tacoma Fire Department’s live smoke and fire ground operations training. The training is expected to continue until 4 p.m. Tuesday. More information is available online at twitter.com/TacomaFire and tacomafiredepartment.blogspot.com/.
