Grand opening Nov. 2 for $26M Hilltop Regional Health Center

Community Health Care has announced it will host a grand opening celebration in November to mark the completion of the new Hilltop Regional Health Center.

The three-story, 54,000-square-foot, $26 million facility, which is located at 1202 Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood, plans to offer an urgent care services clinic to serve 3,000 people annually; ongoing preventative medical care for low-income residents serving 17,000 medical patients annually; a family practice residency program in partnership with St. Joseph Hospital; a dental clinic that provides provide emergency, preventive and restorative services for all ages, focusing on early screening for all children and sealants for school-age children; and an on-site pharmacy that will provide high-quality and low-cost medications and serve as the center for programs to monitor and manage diabetic patients and for smoking cessation plans.

Community Health Care broke ground on the project in April 2012 with a ceremony that included Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland, Senator Maria Cantwell, Congressman Norm Dicks, and Hilltop Business District President Eric Crittendon.

The grand opening celebration will be held on Sat., Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. Festivities will begin across the street at 1223 Martin Luther King Jr. Way followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the new facility.
