The Port of Tacoma and the Port of Seattle will host two town hall meetings in Pierce County to share the latest information about the proposed Seaport Alliance and hear your comments. The two ports formed the Seaport Alliance last month in an effort to strengthen the Puget Sound gateway, attract more cargo, and create more jobs for the region.
The first town hall meeting will be held on Thurs., Nov. 6, between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., at Gig Harbor City Hall, located at 3510 Grandview St., in Gig Harbor. The second town hall meeting will be held on Thurs., Dec. 4, between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., at Pacific Lutheran University (Anderson Center), located at 112th Street and Park Avenue South, in Parkland.
The town hall meetings will include commissioners from both ports.
The Port of Tacoma and the Port of Seattle are also accepting comments online at portoftacoma.com/seaport-alliance-feedback, as well as at regularly scheduled commission meetings.
