Submittals will be received and time stamped only at the Purchasing Division, located in the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building North, Main Floor, 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. Bids will be received until 11:00 a.m., Pacific Time, Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at which time they will be opened by a Purchasing representative and read aloud during a public bid opening held in Conference Room M-1, located on the main floor in the same building. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to answer questions about this solicitation and any special or technical requirements, as well as the City's HUB and LEAP goals. Project Scope: The project will provide an asphalt overlay from S. 66th St. to S. 56th St. and from S. 47th St to S. 43rd St. ADA ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter and illumination will be provided where necessary. The project will also improve two sections of the Water Ditch Trail. It will improve the traffic signal at S. 58th St. by upgrading pedestrian access. The second section of the Water Ditch Trail will be improved by constructing the Trail from South Tacoma Way to the new Sounder Station.
