The City of Tacoma will host a 2.3-mile urban hike and public walking tour of Tacoma’s Dometop neighborhood, an eastside community set upon McKinley Hill that features parks, a community garden, and some of the best views of downtown Tacoma. The tour will be led by Tacoma City Councilmember Marty Campbell, as well as officials with Metro Parks Tacoma, Rogers Park Community Garden, Harvest Pierce County, and the City of Tacoma’s Healthy Homes / Healthy Neighborhoods program. The first 50 participants will receive free water bottles. Light refreshments will be provided. The walking tour will be held on Sat., March 28, between 10 a.m. and noon. It will begin at McKinley Park, located at 600 Upper Park St. More information is available online here and here.
