Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will not be held. Project Scope: The City of Tacoma, Public Works Department, Engineering Division, intends to procure a consulting firm to provide conceptual design services for corridor improvements along Puyallup Avenue between S. C-Street (connection to Prairie Line Trail) and Portland Avenue. The improvements should address multimodal uses, complete street concepts (landscaping, lighting, sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, and other amenities), road diet opportunities, and provide for safe and predictable interactions between vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. The consultant/ team shall provide up to three design concepts for Puyallup Avenue, conceptual-level cost estimates, public meetings support, and final conceptual plan updates based on public comment. Based on available funds, the final conceptual plan and cost estimate may also be updated to the 10% design document level. The chosen team shall have immediate availability and relevant experience on similar public works projects. All work should occur within an approximate 4-6 month window.
