Submittals in response to an RFP or RFQ are recorded as received but are not typically opened and read aloud. Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at City of Tacoma, 747 Market Street, Room 138, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. Project Scope: The City of Tacoma in partnership with Sound Transit, intends to procure engineering consultant services for the streetscape design not included in Sound Transit's Tacoma Link Expansion project. This is primarily between curb and right-of-way line, storefront, or back of walk excepting curb ramps and includes ADA compliant sidewalks, illumination, streetscape amenities, sidewalk drainage design, landscaping and/or street trees, utility relocation needed for streetscape but not included in Sound Transit's Tacoma Link Expansion utility work, and/or similar. Streetscape components may include bike racks, benches and/or chairs, trash cans, public art, banners, color schemes, or similar urban design items. Limits of work are Martin Luther King Jr. Way from South 19th Street to Division Avenue, Division Avenue from Martin Luther King Jr. Way to 1st Street, and 1st Street from Division Ave to Tacoma Avenue, with a possibility of design on adjacent streets to meet the complete street desires of the City. Design work will be managed by the City. The design features need to support and contribute to a vibrant, inviting, sustainable, and safe pedestrian environment that supports current and future land uses without added burdensome maintenance requirements. Estimate: $1,600,000 to 1,800,000 Paid Leave and Minimum Wage: Effective February 1, 2016, the City of Tacoma requires all employers to provide paid leave and minimum wages, as set forth in Title 18 of the Tacoma Municipal Code.
