The Washington Trust is pleased to announce that the application for our annual Youth Heritage Project is now open! This year’s program will take place at Olympic National Park where participants will explore how historic and cultural resources coexist with wilderness.
Youth Heritage Project is all about place-based learning and hands-on activities. During this four-day field school, students will learn about the pre-history of the Park, its early development, and the ongoing protection and maintenance of Park resources and wilderness lands. Students will also have the opportunity to hear from local tribes about their connection to the Olympic Peninsula and conservation practices from a tribal perspective.
