The Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall will be transformed into a business-community centerpoint on Tuesday and Wednesday as the Business EXPO 2004 arrives in Tacoma.
The Tacoma Chamber of Commerce is organizing the event, which is billed as the largest business-to-business trade show in the Puget Sound. More than 130 exhibitors will showcase their products and services, and share their knowledge in hopes of forging strong business connections.
Brian Gregory, Business Editor for KOMO 1000 News, will conduct news updates from the EXPO the morning of Oct.13 from 9 to 11 a.m.
The EXPO will also feature the University Seminar Series offering a variety of topics for business enrichment, including employee retention and securing new clients.
On Tuesday, Oct. 12, Tom OKeefe, the founder and chairman of Tullys Coffee, will give a keynote presentation entitled Taking Tullys Coffee International: The Good, The Bad & The Future. The event is part of the World Trade Center Tacomas Business EXPO 2004 luncheon.
Additionally, on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 a.m., Washington Post columnist Neal R. Peirce will give a keynote presentation entitled Livable Community, Workable Business. The engagement is part of the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerces 121st Annual Meeting & Breakfast.
South Sound vendors will cater provide free food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a variety of entertainers will perform on the main stage , and prizes will be given away every 30 minutes.
