The Key Bank Professional Development Center at the University of Washington, Tacoma, will hold an information session on the Paralegal Studies Certificate Program at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, in the Tacoma Room (GWP 320) on the third floor of the UWT Administration building.
According to a study by the Washington State Employment Security Department, the paralegal profession will be one of the fastest-growing occupations in the region during the next several years. The three-term program, which was brought to Tacoma in response to high demand from the community, begins in October and includes courses in legal research and writing, litigation and business law.
Requirements for the program include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution, the ability to work independently, project management skills, objectivity and conscientious attention to details.
