Students who are interested in being part of the first-ever freshman class at University of Washington, Tacoma, this autumn, are invited to attend Freshman Preview Day at UW Tacoma on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Participants should meet at Carwein Auditorium in UWT?s Keystone Building.
The Preview offers prospective students an opportunity to explore the campus, meet UWT faculty and students, learn about student services, scholarships for freshmen and financial aid, find out about admissions procedures and first-year courses, and take a campus tour with a current UWT student.
The priority date to apply for admission is March 1, although applications will continue to be accepted on a space-available basis. The university is planning for 125 students in its first freshman class.
Last May, Gov. Christine Gregoire signed historic legislation authorizing University of Washington, Tacoma, to begin accepting freshmen and sophomores. UWT has had a long tradition of providing junior- and senior-level coursework toward bachelor?s degrees and master?s degrees for students transferring from community colleges and for professionals wanting more education.
