City Council members are scheduled April 24 to receive a status report from City planning staff and a consultant on the Citys 14 mixed-use centers. The report will review the location, size, zoning, vision, development potential, opportunities and barriers to achieving desired mixed-use development as well as an assessment of the effectiveness of the Citys 10-Year Multifamily Property Tax Incentive Program. Council members are also scheduled April 24 to hear a presentation from Public Works and Finance staff regarding a potential Public Works Trust Fund (PWTF) loan application for $10 million dollars the loan would be used to fund roadway, streetlight, traffic signal, traffic calming and non-motorized projects. Additionally, Council members are scheduled April 24 to hear an end-of-session debrief on the 2007 Regular Legislative Session from Government Relations Officer Randy Lewis.
The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, Room 16.
