With AccessLine, the City of Tacomas new recorded message system, citizens can get city information on more than 300 topics ranging from permitting to parks, licenses to libraries and sewers to street signs, anytime – day or night.
To use AccessLine, call 253/798-7272 and enter the 4-digit number for the message you would like to hear. The message directory can be found in the QwestDex phone book, pages 93 and 94. Up to four messages can be played per phone call. The messages are also available on the Web at: www.cityoftacoma.org/AccessLine.
Pierce County has used the system since early 2002. A partnership between the county and city was the most efficient use of resources and provided the opportunity to offer mutual messages on topics that are managed by both the county and city.
