The office has recently made available online the “Washington State Gasoline Report 2004,” which describes general factors that contribute to gasoline prices everywhere, as well as more specific factors at play along the West Coast and in Washington state. The gas price Website includes links to charts and other resources that provide additional information about current gas prices.

While the Attorney General’s Office cannot control gas prices, it does have an important role to play in ensuring that prices are competitive and free of illegal manipulation. The gasoline price report lists the number of past actions by the office to help make sure gas prices are competitive.
