Tacoma City Manager Eric Anderson will be the featured speaker at City Clubs March 15 luncheon program, beginning at noon at the Tacoma Club.
Known for his innovations as city manager of Des Moines, Iowa, Anderson took up his duties in Tacoma last summer. It is exciting to have a new city manager whose innovative programs were so successful in his former job, said Margi Legowik, City Club past president and coordinator of the luncheon program. We will learn which of his ideas will be implemented here and what the projected outcomes are.
Anderson will discuss what he sees as Tacomas chief assets and what external changes he foresees and what internal ones he will lead. Hell also talk about how the citys government must evolve in the coming months and years. The program will conclude with a short question-and-answer session.
The event will be held at the Tacoma Club at the Wells Fargo Tower, 1201 Pacific Avenue, 16th Floor from noon to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $17 for members, $22 for first-time guests, and $30 for returning nonmembers (includes lunch). Call (253) 272-9561 for reservations.
