Middleton Insurance of Tacoma was one 52 finalists to appear in Washington CEOs 2004 Best Companies to Work For published in its June issue.
The Best Companies to Work For survey is conducted annually by Washington CEO using an online format. The results are based on nominations submitted by companies from across the state.
Employee opinions made through anonymous surveys make up the largest percentage 67 percentof any given companys score. The other third of the score comes from a panel of judges, who base their score on a combination of the employee surveys and a corporate profile submitted by management.
Winners are then selected in four categories large (1,000+ employees), medium (100-999 employees), small (1-99 employees), and non-profit.
Bratrud Middleton ranked 9th out of 16 medium-size company finalists. Its top three category rankings were: 1) work environment, 2) corporate culture, and 3) supervision and decision-making.
While we don’t have to like each other, said company president and CEO Chuck Miller, we will respect each other and each other’s roles. Each of us has value. Each contributes according to his/her skills and abilities. The sum of those contributions is Bratrud Middleton.
