China trails only the United States in the number of people with Internet access at home, with more than 56 million people able to connect from their residences, according to a recently released report.
A rapidly developing nation, China manages to lead the rest of the world in home Internet access, even as more than half of its population lives on less than $2 a day.
A study by Nielsen/NetRatings showed that just over 5 percent of Chinas more than 1 billion people can reach the Internet from home.
