City Club Tacom has announced it will host a dinner forum Weds., Feb. 6, to discuss transporation in Pierce County.
Months after voters rejected a massive regional roads-and-transit package, a panel will explore a myriad of issues surrounding transportation options in Tacoma and Pierce County. Panelists will include:
— Julie Anderson, Tacoma City Councilwoman and a member of the Sound Transit Board of Directors
— Jessyn Farrell, executive director, Transportation Choices Coalition, which has become Washington States strongest advocate for expanding transportation choices
— John Ladenburg, Pierce Co. Executive and a member and former chairman of the Sound Transit Board and current chair of the Pierce Transit Board
This discussion will be moderated by Bruce Kendall, president and CEO of the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County and one of the recently appointed Tacomans to the Washington State Economic Development Commission by Gov. Gregoire in October 2007.
The event will occur at the University of Puget Sound, Wheelock Student Center Rotunda, 6pm. The cost is $23 for City Club members, and $30 for non-members. If you would like to attend, make your reservations for this program by noon Mon., Feb. 4.
