CITY OF FIRCREST NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION AND PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING The City of Fircrest has issued a Determination of Nonsignificance/Adoption of Existing Documents/Addendum for the 2013 Amendments to the Fircrest Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map. The City has determined that the proposals do not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required for either proposal under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). These decisions were made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request. The deadline for submitting written comments on, or an appeal of, the SEPA determination is August 14, 2013. The Fircrest Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on August 20, 2013, commencing at 6:00 pm or shortly thereafter, to consider amendments to the City's Comprehensive Plan Capital Facilities and Land Use Elements, and Zoning Map. Amendments to the Capital Facilities Element would update the 6-year capital improvements schedule for the period 2013-2018. Amendments to the Land Use Map would change the designation for parcels located at 418 Spring Street and 542 Electron Way from Low Density Residential to Park, Recreation and Open Space. Amendments to the Zoning Map would change the classification from Residential-6 to Park, Recreation and Open Space. Citizens attending the public hearing have the right to provide written and oral comments. Interpreters, signers, or other auxiliary aids will be provided upon 48-hours advance notice.
