Submittals will be received and time stamped only at the Purchasing Division, located in the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building North, Main Floor, 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, Tagro Office Visitor Center Located at the far South end of the Treatment Plant, 2201 Portland Ave, Tacoma Washington 98421 at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2014. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to answer questions about this solicitation and any special or technical requirements, as well as the City's SBE and LEAP goals. Immediately after the pre-bid conference, there will be a walk-through of the Cleveland Way Pump Station site. Project Scope: The work covered by this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the Cleveland Way Stormwater Pump Station Improvement project including, but not limited to the following activities: emergency bypass pumping during pump replacement. Mechanical upgrades include: replacement of exiting engine driven and electrical driven pumps, air handling equipment, and modifications to the existing fuel supply system for the engine driven pumps. Structural modifications include: upgrades needed to support new mechanical equipment and meet current building codes. Electrical upgrades include removal and replacent of the entire electrical system, installation of a new emergency generator, and the contruction of a new below ground electrical service.
