City of Tacoma administrative offices will close on July 4, in recognition of the Independence Day holiday. There will be no garbage, recycling or yard waste pickup on July 4 collection will be one day late for the rest of the week. For example, customers whose collection day is normally on Tuesday will have a Wednesday pickup. Wednesday customers will have collection on Thursday and so on. The City of Tacoma’s landfill, recycling center and household hazardous waste facility will also be closed July 4. Customers with solid waste related questions can call (253) 591-5543.
