City of Tacoma administrative offices will close on July 4, in recognition of the Independence Day holiday. There will be no garbage, recycling or yard waste pickup on July 4 — collection will be one day late. Customers whose collection day is normally on Friday will have a Saturday pickup. The City of Tacoma’s landfill, recycling center and household hazardous waste facility will also be closed July 4. Customers with solid waste related questions can call (253) 591-5543.
