The City of Tacoma is studying several rail crossings in the Dome District, in Old Town, and in the West End. Issues to be discussed/reviewed include safety, traffic operations, non-motorized mobility, noise, and economic or other quality of life issues. In the Dome District, the implementation of a Quiet Zone will be reviewed.
Incorporating community feedback, the project will develop a framework and ranking methodology through which potential crossing improvements can be evaluated at each of these locations.
