Love Tacoma, a group of volunteers working to create and promote fun social and cultural happenings throughout the city to unite Tacoma’s 20-to-30-somethings, will host a free, open-invitation grand kickoff event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on June 12 at the Pacific Grill, 1502 Pacific Ave.

The Love Tacoma Team, which formed through Creative Tacoma, hopes that the fusion between good times, meeting good people and Tacoma’s backdrop of endless, amazing amenities will continue to compel young, creative people to live, work, play and stay here.

The first gathering is an opportunity to mix and mingle in the restored Waddell building while enjoying a signature Love Tacoma cocktail created by the Pacific Grill and benefiting from an extended happy hour until 7 p.m. Participants will also have a chance to learn more about Love Tacoma and the monthly slate of enticing events that will follow.
