Home builder D.R. Horton celebrated the opening of its newest residential community last weekend with a ribbon cutting ceremony and visitor tours.
The Radiance community, located in Fife, offers four unique home collections ranging from 888 to 2,643 square feet, and with 37 floor plan variations.
“At Radiance we are creating a destination community that will help area residents purchase homes and set down roots in the community,” said Matt Farris, president of D.R. Hortons Seattle Division. “Too many times you see individuals or families who cant live in close proximity where they work due to housing costs. We want to create a sense of place and community connections as well as spur growth in the Fife area by helping people live in the areas where they work.”
The first release of homes at Radiance is already 90% sold out. The second release is currently selling.
“A common cycle for Fife residents has been to move in as young singles or couples, start a family, and move to another city when they were ready to purchase a home simply because they have had no other choice,” explained Steve Worthington, community development director for the City of Fife. “Radiance will help to fill that niche and keep these residents in Fife with the offer of home ownership.”
Radiance features parks, gathering places and recreation areas that provide something for everyone. There are nine parks covering more than eight acres, including a large five acre park with play area, walking and biking trails, basketball court, skate park and picnic shelters. The streetscape in Radiance offers dramatic exteriors, along with gateways to the parks and trails.
The grand opening weekend at Radiance included tours of all 12 new Radiance model homes, a drawing for a family movie fun pack and movie refreshments such as popcorn and candy for everyone.
